Interior design is not always about being fancy. Different projects provide different challenges. As interior designers, our job is to find solutions to any challenge. The biggest challenge was, to fit a 2+1 bed, a table with chairs and a bathroom in to a 20 square meters space, while maintaining the guidelines provided by authorities for minimal space requirement on the bathroom. Our solution: The third bed is divided in two pieces and hidden underneath the beds. The frame of the third bed is furthermore a drawer in the first bed and the second bed holds the mattress. Every centimeter is being used, luggage compartment and storage space are detached from the bathroom, having just enough room left to fit a cozy space for a shower cabin. Glass insertions are done on the bathroom wall to get some natural light to pass trough. Metallic frames, veneer panels, simple solutions are provide to the furnishing durability.
The common space is more playful as can be seen on the renderings. We had to operate with a tight space, but succeeded in providing the comfort feeling of a living room.
