The starting point of this project was the need of a new room for the family’s daughter, in the space of the living room. But not just that: it turned out an everyday eating area would also be welcome, since there was none in the kitchen, as well as a big table for gatherings and a desk for the young student.
Although the surface of the room seemed big enough, the apartment’s layout wouldn’t allow building a separate room – but a separate space was possible.
We designed a partitioning that naturally fits in the whole, without cluttering the space. The vivid, bold colors add to the visual separation of the different areas, and create a homey atmosphere. Our solution included light fixtures that didn’t require changes to the electrical system, and beautifully complement the design.
