Turning this four-room apartment into a home involved a complete remodel.
We started with enlarging the kitchen, by tearing down the wall toward the hallway and also a pantry that was taking up too much space. The custom-made kitchen furniture makes use of every corner, including a wine shelf that fits right under a beam, and two rows of upper cabinets, which also hide the hood ventilation. The upper cabinets have built-in LED lights, which allow to adapt the lighting as needed.
In the place of the former pantry we have built a customized pantry cabinet that also incorporates the fridge. Besides being practical, this element takes up less space and nicely divides the eating area from the hallway.
The atmosphere is defined by white and grey tones, with yellow and dark blue accents (except for the kid’s room, which is more colorful but in the same range). Storage spaces are integrated throughout the apartment, so they don’t take up too much space of a single room, and also mask the pillars and beams that were cluttering the place visually. Another example of a personalized solution, to best meet the needs of our client.
