When designing this conference room, functionality and the historical character of the building were of equal importance.
Our main focus was to create a space that can accommodate different types of events. The room can be used with chairs, tables and a desk for teaching, or just with chairs and a podium for speeches at more formal occasions.
The wood paneling matches the door and window frames, assures an easy maintenance and long-lasting lifetime, while also reflecting the style of the building. The light grey and pale beige tones match the olive-green windows, while the indirect LED lighting and white spotlights bring a subtle touch of modernity.
The library hosts a large collection of rare books, and is not open to the general public, so we opted for solid wood bookshelves and study desks.
