When we first visited the house, the final structure was ready for interior finishes. Changes to electric and plumbing were possible, so we improved the flow by editing the initial layout. The clients wanted a mixture of nordic and industrial feeling, but not too much wood and still some color. The exterior of the house having brick walls, we wanted to continue the style for two inner walls, one at the entrance and the other one in the living room area. Moreover, this allowed us to incorporate some metal and wooden finishes, without overusing them.

The ground floor represents the perfect open space – and if you wonder where the TV is hiding: Well, there is none. The reason is simple: The shelves on top of the couch host a powerful projector and the screen is being unfolded from the ceiling when the prime time starts.

The entrance stays clear of big furniture pieces, while the under-stairs storage door is hidden away in the accent wall. A big dresser separates the kitchen area and the rest of the living space, while concealing the fridge.

The same idea of maximizing flow as well as storage space has been used for the master bedroom with an incorporated dressing area. Here the initial proposition was a bed facing the window, but the team proposed the bed to face the wall and use the extra space for storage, facilitating a better space usage in the whole room.

The result is clear: The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the house makes it a perfect home for the family.
