The space was completely empty and we were free to come up with a solution which would accomodate all the requirements: working area, meeting room, storage, but also space for walk-in visitors. The office is situated in the center of Cluj-Napoca and the large windows are at street level on a quite busy pedestrian area. The space has high ceilings, so we decided to use this as an advantage and put the two working places away from the pedestrians sight, on top of a small storage space, while using the space below for placing a meeting area.
We opted for a neutral palette in the visitors area, greys mixed with warm wood textures, a neutral tone of concrete for the divider wall and a contracting yellow for the upper level. Clients went along 100% with our proposition and the project went along smoothly.
Solutions for small spaces are always a challange, but seeing the final outcome is the biggest reward.
